At Passport To Italy, it is important for us to offer our students many diverse Italian cultural experiences and outings where they can socialize, converse and enjoy authentic Italian moments.

“Cena Siciliana” at Café Bedda ( Northcote )

On Wednesday 30th November 2011 students from Passport To Italy experienced a truly enjoyable and authentic Sicilian Dinner organized by Patrick Ciccaldo and his talented chefs at Café Bedda. The students enjoyed an array of dishes such as:

Arancini , Badduzze di melenzane , Fritelle di baccala , Schiaffoni con polpette di agnello, Gnocchi di ricotta , Cassatedde di formaggio e Cannoli con ricotta.

“Aperitivi e Stuzzichini” per La Festa di Natale a Passport To Italy

What better way to celebrate the end of a successful term of study at Passport To Italy than with La festa di Natale attended by students, staff, and friends.

Café Bedda

Another wonderful Sicilian dinner at Café Bedda ( Northcote) was enjoyed by all the new Beginners Level One students in Term 1, 2012. Complimenti Patrick and ‘bravissimi’ chefs -the students are still raving about the generous portions of the delightful food they savoured such as:

Caponata, Pannelle di Ceci, Spiedini di Pesce Spada, Polpette di Ricotta, Schiaffoni al Ragu` , Penne alla Norma e i Cannoli con ricotta.

And still more fun at Bedda!

Our new Beginners Level One, Two ,Travellers and Conversation students in Term 3, 2012 were also treated to a sumptuous feast of:

Prosciutto, fave e parmiggiano, Olivi, Sfinci di baccala`, Zucca agro dolce, Polpette di vitello, FocacciaPasta di Rodia, Penne con Ragu` mista and of course….cannoli siciliani. Mmmm buonissimi !

Bomba - stuzzichini e aperitivi

Our Beginners Level 2 and 3, Travellers and Caffé e Conversazione students were treated to some exciting new tastes in Term 1 and 2, 2012 at a new restaurant BOMBA-stuzzichini e aperitivi ( Heidelberg) Many thanks to the owners Marc and Natalie for their warm hospitality and to Head Chef ‘E’ and Ash- your contemporary Italian dishes were ‘squisiti’. We enjoyed eating:

Focaccia e Olive, Polpette, Arancini con Gorgonzola e Barbabietola, Pappardelle al Ragu`di Vitello, Gnocchi ai Funghi, Risotto del Mare e Zeppole.

Epoca - Pasta, Pizza e Pastiera Night

What better way to end Term 2 than with some hearty, traditional Italian dishes in the relaxed and friendly environment at EPOCA. On a cold June night our Beginners Level 4, Travellers and Caffé e Conversazione students enjoyed a cosy ‘family’ gathering around the extended table at EPOCA -Ristorante Pizzeria (North Balwyn).

They enjoyed wood fired Pizzas, homemade pastas and the famous Pastiera napolitana. Many thanks to Vinny, Mattia (il bravissimo pizzaiolo that made the pastiera and pizzas) and staff for an enjoyable evening. Grazie!

Auguri e Buon Viaggio!

What an eventful term 3 (2012) it has been at Passport To Italy but it’s been particularly busy for two of our students. Our ‘dolcissima Julia’ is getting married in October to her ‘simpatico Nathan’ and we wish them all the very best on their wedding day - Auguri! On another note, we fare welled our ‘carismatico Bevan’ who will be spending 4 months with his ‘carissima Jill’ travelling around Europe. Most of their time abroad will be based in Montone (Umbria) Ahhh La dolce vita! We wish you a safe journey and look forward to hearing all about your ‘avventure italiane’….Buon Viaggio!
